The White Swan

The White Swan

Established in 1985, The White Swan is East End’s most famous gay pub, spanning over three decades of unforgettable moments and special guests. Sir Ian McKellen was a regular there when he came out and the legendary comedian Michael Barrymore once went on stage to perform. The White Swan is a place where you should expect the unexpected!

Home to London’s best drag queens, strippers and cabaret performers, The White Swan runs camp events every night. On Tuesdays, treat yourself to a pint of Fosters for less than 2 quid. The notorious amateur strip contests are held at The White Swan every Wednesday night – in which young hungry twinks bare all for cash! Thursdays are open-mic nights with the legendary drag clown, Jackie Deeripper. So, we expect you to channel your best Mariah Carey impression.

On Friday and Saturday nights, there are strippers and drag queens who warm up the crowd before resident DJs play the best TOP 40 and commercial house tunes until 4-5am. Their newly refurbished basement club is very spacious and creates an illusion of being 10 times bigger than it actually is (thanks to mirrors across every wall, very clever).

Happy hour drink deals run every day until 8PM. Pints of Fosters, bottled beers and spirits (with mixers) are just £3. You can also get 2-4-1 cocktails for £8 or treat yourself to a bottle of house wine for less than a tenner. The list goes on…

This is by far one of the best gay pubs in the East End with incredible happy hour deals, a rowdy but a cheerful crowd and the best entertainment throughout the week!
