The Glory

Are you searching for a new place to hang out? A place to make new friends and have a jolly good time doing so? Then put down your Tinder and look no further than Haggerston station as The Glory is exactly what you have been gagging for.

In a building with almost 200 years of history, The Glory took residence late last year when 4 of London's infamous LGBT titans teamed up to raise the bar in East London’s thriving alternative scene. It was just over 3 years ago when Zoe Argiros, Colin Rothbart, John Sizzle and Jonny Woo decided to unite together and use their collective experience of 80 years to good use and open up a ‘super-pub’.

Open seven nights a week, The Glory offers a wide range of alternative nights that are sure to tickle your fancy. From performers to drag stars and DJs, The Glory is a magnet for all things fun.  My personal favourite is ‘Faggy okay’ the super camp and rambunctious karaoke night every Thursday. Even if you are not in the mood for dancing, The Glory hosts an array of other events like ‘Sex-Shells’ the gay comedy sketch, or enrol in a ‘Glory hole life drawing’ class, we kid you not.

Level 2 lies beneath the floor boards, as the basement serves as another dance floor/stage which makes room for even more fabulously camp fun. The Glory has created a much needed platform for queer culture and in this day and age we can't be more thankful!
