The return of 5 Guys Chillin'

Peter Darney's verabitim theatre piece, "5 Guys Chillin," premiered two years ago during the Brighton Festival. It then moved to London, including a run at King's Head Theatre, where it now makes its welcome return this week from 17th May to 3rd June (various dates). In between, audiences have been exposed (almost literally, but not quite) to this urgent uncompomising peek at the world of Gay 'chemsex' parties, or 'chillouts', in Dublin, New York, Sidney and Edinbugh.

Imagine you are a fly on the wall in the middle of a random coming together of 5 gay men in search of fun,(drugs and sex) hosted in a guy's flat with the assistance of a mobile 'dating' app. There is a price to pay for such continued activity and this is seeringly dealt with as the evening unfolds. This play is not for the feint hearted, but we urge you to immerse yourself in this, at a turn funny, at times trully harrowing piece of theatre. You will be rewarded.

For those of you going who know something about what is happenning on stage, it is perhaps, just as well that your blushes will not show. For those of you, whose knowledge of the chillout scene is scant or non-existant, remember that everything that happens on stage is taken from interviews with participants and observers, painstakingly woven together. It is has been put in the hands of a cast who know what they are doing.
