The Fourth Choir - Friday 31/03

The Fourth Choir is London's LGBT+ chamber choir for advanced singers, focusing on performing great choral works from early music to contemporary choral masterpieces. 

The choir was formed in September 2013, and aims to represent the LGBT+ community on London's world-class classical music scene.

This Friday's concert will mark the end of Winter and the start of Spring with a concert on the appropriate themes of "Enlightenment, Inception and New Beginnings”.

Going back to St Georges Bloomsbury - a Hawksmoor church with a stunning white interior and a fabulous surround-sound acoustic where the Renaissance polyphony of the De Lassus and Palestrina will come at you from all sides.

​The nineteenth century will be represented by Mendelssohn, the twentieth century by Howells and the twenty-first century by Eric Whitacre, Roderick Williams and Bob Chilcott.

The Fourth Choir - Awakenings is Friday 31st March, 7pm, at St George's, Bloomsbury.
