Are you thinking of attending one of the upcoming Village Drinks events for the first time? Or are you planning to go again? Well, here you go, the complete guide to Village Drinks and some great facts to use as a conversation-starter at their next event.

About Village Drinks: The biggest networking gay event of the month. People come to meet other new people from varying industries, including politics, law, and the City. They provide the venue and you provide the company. It's terrific fun and arguably one of the best and most popular events for gay men in London.

Why was Village Drinks started?
There was nothing to connect aspirational gay men and it seemed an obvious thing to have events that brought likely minded guys together. Boom! Village Drinks was born.

When was the first Village Drinks event?
Nearly 10 years ago! It started as a political/PR group (in the Westminster Village, hence the name) and 20 people – mostly close friends – attended.

What’s the secret of becoming one of London’s longest-running and best monthly gay networking events?
There's an intrinsic value in meeting people face to face - conversations. And that's core to the mission. There’s a great network of members and friends and new people join every week, so there’s always something fresh with Village Drinks matched with the reality for a regular-well delivered event.

How many people attend today?
The events today have grown to attract anything from 150 to 600 people at venues across London.

What to expect?
Interesting, clever people, great atmosphere, and access to a great network. It’s a very easy-going group of gay professionals, out to a have a drink and a laugh, or even something more…!

Something more…?
Events have involved working with some fab venues and charities like Stonewall and the Albert Kennedy Trust, and celebrities like Sir Ian McKellen. There were some Village Drinks weddings and some great business deals done off the back of introductions. You can get lucky at Village Drinks – in every way!

Where and when are the next events?
Village Drinks always finds the coolest places and hot spots in London that people love or may not have had the chance to visit before, like Broadway House, Playboy Club, Hard Rock Café, Kensington Roof Gardens or M Restaurants.
