We Exist are running a trans healthcare and advocacy workshop led by resident LGBTQ health advocate and community organiser Jack Doyle from 7-9pm on Wednesday October 20 at Dalston Superstore.
This workshop will focus on navigating transition related healthcare and advocacy in the UK, and is open to trans people wanting to learn more about how to navigate common healthcare challenges, transition related or otherwise.
It will explore how to advocate for ourselves and trans community members by learning about healthcare rights, effective ways to challenge discrimination, how to talk to doctors, and building resilience in the face of the current healthcare crisis.
The workshop will be interactive, and is open to all trans and gender diverse folk. You do not have to be transitioning medically to attend, please be aware that this workshop is specifically for individuals who identify as trans, non binary or gender nonconforming / gender diverse.
Due to the nature of the venue, the workshop will not be accessible for wheelchair users as there is a staircase. Please feel free to email info@weexistlondon.com with any access requirements you might have.
This workshop will be capped at 30 places only - on a first come first serve basis.
If you can no longer attend after signing up, please let us know so we can offer the space to someone else.
