Thrilled to announce that we'll be premiering 'Trashbag Trish', the story of a drag queen who takes on the EDL, at the Hackney Attic Theatre Festival, on October 24th.
Trashbag Trish tells the story of a cheap drag queen who returns to her rural English hometown after her father’s death. Dressed from head to toe in Primark’s finest ladies’ couture, she navigates homophobia in the job centre with humour and sass, and marches against the English Defence League aided only by the power of Cher.
Acted by Richard Watkins (Queers), and produced by Dragonflies Theatre (The Chemsex Monologues), Trashbag Trish explores what it is to be visibly LGBTQ+ in post-Brexit UK. Written by Patrick Cash, directed by Luke Davies.
Tickets £8
Please note, the Attic is an over-18s venue.
