A series workshop delving into the finer skills of the drag and SFX makeup. From 3 different techniques of laying brows, to the intricacy of making your own bald cap and applying it. Everything from equipment to hands on demonstrations. All hosted at the wonderful cosy basement of The Glory. All workshops will involve live demonstrations/ practical exercises for those hands on learners, as well as product recommendations so you can go away and start your own makeup journey.
All workshops are designed for all skill levels and for all budgets!

Johnny bones have been working in the creative scene professionally for over 8 years, trained at The London School of Dramatic art and has been power-housing the drag scene for the last 3 years. This queen can go from Gwen Stefani to alien bog witch from the future; there isn’t anything she can’t create.

June 10th - Week 4 – Lips, brows and wig lines. This week we’ll look at the face as a whole and how to ramp up your femme and extend into the hyper-femme. Looking at the very soft, neutral to the extended graphic drag face, think Courtney act through to Devine!
WHAT TO BRING TO GET INVOLVED (not compulsory) - This week there will be no practical exercises, but we will all be getting up close and personal with live demonstrations so that attendees can see the precision of how it’s done.
FOLLOWING WEEKS---
June 25th - Week 5 – SFX – GORE - Everyone’s pink on the inside! So let’s take a look at how we recreate that! We’ll look at making your own blood, scars, wounds, visible bone, missing eyes and all the wonders of the human anatomy gone wrong.
TBC - Week 6 – beyond makeup - The unconventional, the damn right wrong and the surprising materials you use to make features and structures to add to your drag designs. This week we’ll look at things like using tinfoil to make huge fawn horns, EVA foam to build a flower growing from your skull and creating moving gills from gold leaf. It’s DIYD, Do It Your Self Drag!
