Loving Men - Yoga For Men
Feel Good Fridays are here!
A monthly drop in class for gay, bi & queer men with Tom Cowan
- Community - regular drop in class for gay, bi & queer men of all ages to come together and feel part of a growing community.
- Acceptance - space to share with other men which is free of judgement, shaming and blaming.
- Embodied - simple, easy to follow movements that help the body move, easing pain and restrictions leaving the body feeling lighter and freer.
- Digital detox - An opportunity to switch off the phone, leave work behind and meet friendly, open men in the room who are here for the same reasons as you.
- Meditation - techniques and micro practices that you can take home and use to relieve tension, stress and anxiety.
- Supportive - learn the basics of yoga in a supportive environment where there is no way to get anything wrong. Do it your way!
- Playful - Join a fun & playful group of men who want to connect with each other.
- Accessible - Each class is taught to the men in the room so beginners are welcome. The yoga will offer different stages where you can find the place that best suits you.
- Understanding - A teacher with many years experience of working with male anatomy, who understands it can take time for the body to change and so there is no pressure to be anything other than as your are!
- Connection - Opportunities to meet other men in partner postures, coming into contact in a way that is comfortable for you. It's your body so you decide how to meet others in the practice.
- Respect - A respect from everyone in the class of your boundaries. All classes are clothed and consent is always paramount when we come into closer contact.
- Safety - A safe and held space with Tom who has many years experience teaching yoga, offering bodywork and facilitating groups for gay, bi and queer men.
We welcome gay and bi men, trans men and gender non-binary people, from all walks of life who want to develop their capacity to connect with other men. We particularly encourage participation from black and ethnic minority men, HIV positive and negative men, young and older men, trans men and disabled men (who are able to sit, kneel and stand).
Mats & blocks provided. Wear comfy, stretchy clothes. Bring a blanket if you like a cosy relaxation to finish.
Book in advance to guarantee your place!
