With your host Saph Mac, Moyra Samuels ‘Justice4Grenfell’, Aviah Sarah Day 'Sisters Uncut' and Jackie ‘Grenfell activist and resident’ Justice4Grenfell (J4G) is a community-led organisation, focused on the long term goal of obtaining justice for the bereaved families, survivors, evacuated residents and the wider local community, partnering with representative organisations. J4G will be engaging with the Public Inquiry on behalf of its membership – join us.

J4G was set up a few days after the Grenfell Fire disaster and officially launched on June 19th 2017 with the first of monthly silent walks – now held on the 14th of each month from Notting Hill Methodist Church to the Grenfell Memorial Wall.

Together with many other local groups and individuals, J4G stepped into the void left by the authorities, to try to meet the urgent needs of those impacted. This work continues because of the on-going failure of the authorities to respond adequately to the disaster.

J4G’s ultimate aim is to ensure that such an event never happens again. The level of international interest indicates just how relevant that aim is, globally. Aviah Sarah Day is a member of the East End branch of Sisters Uncut – a national, feminist direct action group fighting cuts to domestic violence services.She has recently completed her her PhD titled “Partnership and Power: Domestic Violence, the Women’s Sector and the Criminal Justice System”. She also has several years worth of experience in a range of front line domestic violence services. Aviah is currently researching and campaigning against the increased criminalization of survivors of domestic violence. Contact Aviah here

Sapphire is a comedian, actor and writer that uses comedy as a vessel to teach people about tough or challenging social issues. Her recent journalist work has documented the groups who are attempting to re-brand the far right in the U.K . This year she's made two films, one of the Hollywood-ification of Tommy Robinson and another on the growth of new far - right group - The Democratic Football Lads Alliance. She also uses her quick whit that puts members of the public in uncomfortable situations to find out what they're really thinking. See more of Saph here.
