ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Dr Emily Grossman is an internationally acclaimed science author, public speaker and TV personality. She has a first class degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, a PhD in cancer research, and has also worked as an actress and a science teacher. Emily is best known as a science expert on ITV's The Alan Titchmarsh Show and Sky1's Duck Quacks Don't Echo, for her fun YouTube videos, and for her talks in schools and universities and at events such as The Hay Festival, The Science Museum and Cheltenham Science Festival.
Emily is a passionate advocate for equality and diversity in science and has delivered a TEDx talk called Why Science Needs People Who Cry. Her kids’ book Brain-Fizzing Facts: Awesome Science Questions Answered was published in August 2019 by Bloomsbury Children's Books, and she is currently writing a book for adults on The Science of Love, Sex and Attraction.
