‘HIV / HEP BLIND DATE‘ is a theatre dating- show for people living and loving with HIV / HEP to share the realities of life, love and struggle. For 'World AIDS Day' and we want to celebrate how far we have come and build power for how far we need to go to end the HIV epidemic. So in typical AIDS COALITION TO UNLEASH POWER (ACT UP) style, full of cabaret, mischief, romance and flair – HIV BLIND DATE celebrates our HIV+ community and everyone committed to LOVE AND UNITY FOR THE HIV+ COMMUNITY - www.actuplondon.wordpress.com/

6pm - Doors open and welcome from Cilla and ACT UP activists from across the world.
7-9pm - HIV Blind Date
9-10pm - HIV Speed Dating
10-11pm - Disco set with Aunty Griffiths
11-midnight - Sizzling hot set with Mica Coca
WHY ITS HAPPENING: Together we will vejazzle stigma, expose pharmaceutical greed and and revels in the anger, sweatiness and fabulous fierceness of the global HIV+ community. So often, we are stigmatised in our society; treated as passive recipients of resources, or silenced and invisibilized altogether.

HIV BLIND DATE HISTORY: HIV Blind Date started in East London’s very special queer club ‘The Glory’ supported by ‘Aids Coalition to Unleash Power’ (ACT UP LONDON) and a wide range of HIV community groups across the UK. Since then the show has been in a wide range of clubs, hospitals and community groups and even as the opening to the International AIDS Conference 2016 in Durban, South Africa!
EXPECT: LOVE, UNITY, COMMUNITY: Raucous theatre, dancing, voguing, HIV / AIDS community groups, stalls, and throughout the night we will have ongoing ‘Truvada wrestling’ and 'Iconic HIV Fashion Models'
DRESSCODE: Whatever will impress our Cilla!
ACCESSIBILITY: The venue is fully accessible. There will be Cilla's glamorous assistants at your service all night should you need anything.
TICKETS: Unwaged £5 Broke £7.50 Standard £10 Solidarity £15. A large handful of free tickets are for HIV+ migrants and for HIV+ people struggling with housing. If this is you and / or you have any issues being able to afford the ticket please email us ASAP.
PROFITS: All profits go to 'Camp Kiki - The House of Transcendence' - a new UK based retreat for transgender people from the African and Caribbean Diaspora - and to Positively UK Hardship Support Scheme - The Hardship Support Scheme provides financial support to help people living with HIV in times of crisis.
