Dear Lolas!
We've survived Spanish (and British) Christmas, the NYE/D mayhem and some political events in both our homes that have had us happy and sad in equal measures. The present is fierce and after a small January break we're kickstarting another amazing year of friendship, dance, acts, laughs, music, activism, and FUN TIMES.
ROOM 1
On Saturday, 8th of February, we're heading back to Bethnal Green with quite a special party. Why? We've made a song, THE LADY OLE OFFICIAL SONG: a tribute to you, our party and the Spanish 90's rave scene. The song is a collaboration between artist Cynthia De Cassette Yepes, party organiser Alejandro Asencio, and producer Trikinosis. Both Cynthia and Alejandro will perform together and Cynthia will also present some of her new material. HOT!
Resident DJs Alejandro Vic Cal and Alejandro Asencio (aka Los Alejandros) will play all your favourite trash back to back.
ROOM 2
If that wasn't enough to keep you excited, our Room 2 Takeovers are back!! we firmly believe that collaborating with other queer and community-oriented parties is both a need and a joy, and we have secured a second room for most parties this year. Our first takeover of 2020 will be Exilio LGBT Latin Dance Club, a Latin community institution running for over 22 years playing the best in Latin music. 1, 2, cha-cha-cha
THEME/ DRESSCODE
We will be filming for the song's official video during the party and we would like to invite you to take part! For this reason, we'd love for you to come dressed for the occasion... the song is a tribute to Spanish choni / chav culture and we are calling out all chavs, chonis, and bakalas in town. Rosalías, Jessie Js, Vicky Pollards and Belenes Esteban: its your turn to make it special!
