🪩🎊 Join us to celebrate the launch of Issue #4, one whole year of Lip Service, and seven years of charitable status🎊🪩
With the publication of our fourth issue of Lip Service, we're also celebrating twelve months of the zine and seven years of being a registered charity.
So much of what we do at the Vagina Museum is an experiment and whether it succeeds or fails is down in large part to YOU – our community. The zine was launched shortly after our emergency crowdfunder raised £60k in 48hrs, saving us from imminent closure. Since then, we've published your writing and artwork on the subjects of menstruation and reproductive justice, and are chomping at the bit to show you Issue #4 – Disability & Sex.
Over the last nine months, you've bought 376 copies of Lip Service and helped raise over £2k for the Museum. Issue #4 is here, Issue #5 is brewing, and we've got the next four themes locked and loaded.
But before all of that we'd like to take this moment to connect and to celebrate. There will be music and poetry, drinks and chin wagging. Come along to celebrate with us!
Poetry readings by Lip Service contributors including Jean Akintoye, The Girl From 1982, George Parker, and Anja Summermatter.
Music by Mia Joan.
