David trained at Tring Park and Bird College where he graduated with a first class BA (Hons) in Dance and Theatre Performance. He is the Founder and Artistic Director of HOMOPARODY Queer Collective. HOMOPARODY is a dance collective that produce shows, perform at Prides and charity events all over the country and also run weekly all-ability community dance classes. Best know for their full scale music video parodies, HOMOPARODY has established itself as one of the leading LGBTQ+ performance and community groups in the UK. Their work has recently been recognised by the British LGBT Awards who have nominated HOMOPARODY in the category of Top Charity of Community Initiative.
Following winning Mr Gay Great Britain in 2022, David has worked on numerous campaigns to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people in Great Britain. His work is focussed on empowerment, inclusivity and giving people a sense of belonging. David went on to represent Great Britain at Mr Gay Europe 2023 and Mr Gay World 2023, winning bronze and silver respectively. David has also used this platform within his choreography work and is one of the leading LGBTQ+ choreographers in London, creating festival and concert sets for Drag Race queens such as Tia Kofi, Alexis Saint Pete and Scarlett Harlett as well as HOMOPARODY Pride performances and events.
David was named one of the 50 most inspirational LGBT Londoners by London Friend in 2023 and was given a thirty page feature in Jack the Lad Magazine about his work within the community.
Choreographer and Director credits include: Choreographer for Relish Theatre’s Regeneration Season: New musical Acid’s Reign and play Oh My Pain, My Beautiful Pain. Choreographer for Jack and the Beanstalk at the Bournemouth Pavilion and Aladdin at Mansfield Palace Theatre. In 2024, David also choreographed pieces for MEPA College and The Scottish Institute. Choreographer for Tia Kofi; Mighty Hoopla, Birmingham and Brighton Pride (2024). Beauty and the Beast, Sunderland Empire (2023), Liza With a Z at the Theatre Royal Brighton and Clapham Grand with Christina Blanco and London’s Gay Big Band (2023). Aladdin, Sunderland Empire (2022). Director and Choreographer for Le Grand Cirque, Taiwan for Spirit Productions at the Taipei Arena (2021). Director St Trinian’s at The Arts Centre, Hounslow (2021). Choreographer for Peter Pan, Bournemouth Pavilion (2021). David also choreographed Beauty and The Beast for UK Productions at the Theatre Royal, Bath (2019-2020). As resident choreographer for Dublin Worldwide and Spirit Productions USA, David has taught shows such as Twist and Shout, Rock Around the Clock and Dancing Queen (2018 and 2019). He also directed and choreographed Solid Gold Motown, Avalon Theatre, Canada (2019) and Le Grand Cirque Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (2019). Other credits include director and co-choreographer for Fame Paul Robeson Theatre (2018); Moulin Rouge, Watermans Theatre London (2017); Michelle Visage in West End Bares Novello Theatre (2017) and Panem, West Wing Arts Centre (2016). David was also assistant choreographer for Jack and the Beanstalk, Anvil Arts Centre, Basingstoke (2016) and resident choreographer for Ghost the Musical, English Theatre Frankfurt (2014).
