Join us at the official FemFest scratch night set up for artists to come and explore new ideas in a supportive space. 

 

You’ll be speaking of this night for years to come, where you’ll be able to say to your friends, “Oh yeah, I saw them when they first started at the legendary FemFest Scratch Night in 2023.” 

Scratch nights are all about creating a joyful and encouraging environment that allows performers to take risks. From clowning to cabaret, character comedy to contemplative monologues, we welcome anyone and everyone to come and see art in its formative stages and give it the opportunity to grow.

We’ll be updating the lineup with our acts over the next few weeks, so watch this space for the next generation of performers and their ideas. The event will take place at The Actors, 

This event will be held in our upstairs theatre space. Tickets are also available to watch the event on a screen downstairs.

🎈Blow Up: There’s a party going on and YOU’RE invited! Join Lucy, Ellie and their inflatable friend in celebrating as they blow up to grow up! A visual performance using movement, clowning and audience interaction. @the_norm_project @lucygaydecki

👶 Breeder: Climate anxiety drives a young woman to extreme measures. Yet everything seems to hold together… until she comes home to tell her mother.

💪 Queen of the O Rings WIP: All new material from Queen of the O-Rings! Join her on the next stage of her epic quest. Expect even more stunning battle sequences, bondage-inspired warrior costumes and maybe some new characters. A development of Elle Fire’s work, continuing her queer, fetishised send-up of Lord of the Rings. @ellefirecabaret

👵 Who Gives a F*ck About Aunt Cathy: As sisters Goldie and René try to figure out their lives after the death of their aunt Cathy, one devastating obstacle after another gets in the way.
