No, It Is Not; Not Always is an immersive multidisciplinary and post-conceptual portraiture exhibition run by artists Andreas Rod and Arthur Sopin along with their project Downtown 500 Magazine. Their figurative photography from NYC, Berlin and London will be shown along with a performance art event that will amplify the narrative of the metamodernist manifesto whilst subverting their residency at By Other Means gallery.

Prepare to be taken through the intersubjective realm of artists, performers and DJs as you oscillate between past, present and future, moving through freedom and captivity amidst destruction and reconstruction, projections and rejections. No, It Is Not; Not Always aims to converge the dichotomies, divergences, and differences that persist, and celebrate their multifaceted diversity under one metamodernist narrative - a metaphorical collage of experiences and stimuli that explores the liminality of personality, queerness and identity.

Downtown 500 Magazine is the post-conceptual portraiture and artisan studio founded by Creative Director Arthur Sopin and Photographer Andreas Rod that aims to bridge the narratives of creative direction and contemporary photography. Together, they bring the expertise of more than ten years of work in the fields of photography, creative direction, art, fashion and media production that culminated in the development of their metamodernist approach.
