Pride in Surrey 2023 - Reigate

We are super excited to be bringing Pride in Surrey to Reigate on Saturday 9th September

Join us for a parade throughout the town at 11am - followed by the festival styled event from 12 noon in Priory Park, welcoming everyone! The event finishes at 9pm!

ADVANCED NOTICE: Pride in Surrey's main event is expected to be taking place on the hottest day of the year.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU STAY HYDRATED, WEAR APPROPRIATE CLOTHING, USE SUNSCREEN & STAY PROUD!
Sealed bottles of water can be taken into the Pride in Surrey event OR empty bottles. You will be asked to empty bottles (that you will be able to refill at the Quenchinator).

What's in the Pride Park (Priory Park - Reigate):

Two stages
The ‘Pride in Surrey - Main Stage’ & ‘Trans Radio UK - Community Stage'.
Food and drink outlets
A mix of vendors catering for a variety of cuisines and dietary needs.
Pride Plus VIP Area (18s and over only)
Access the park event quicker through our VIP entrances, get closer to the stage, Access VIP toilets and even more perks too.

Youth at Pride Zone
The young adults of today define our tomorrow! - The 'Pride Movement' can educate and empower Surrey's young visionaries, enabling them to fix the mistakes of yesterday.
Community stalls
A wide variety of stalls; from face painting to stand out from the crowd to pin badges and of course finally picking up a flag that you feel validates or represents you and how you may define.
Local and National LGBTQ+ services
It is vital that Pride in Surrey can effectively signpost those who may need support or guidance to the services that are available to them. We signpost through our event, through our Pride Hub and through our Text to Talk - (/Not Alone) service.

Pride in Surrey encourages the LGBTQ+ Community and its Allies to stand united, in solidarity, for those who simply cannot be who they truly are OR love who they truly love world-wide.

Additional Information: For your safety and comfort entry for those who do not have tickets is subject to availability. It is advised to buy your ticket in advance. Tickets on the door will cost a flat rate of £4 per person. Security bag checks will be in operation. A ‘Challenge 25’ policy will be operating and you may be asked to present your ID if you look under the age of 25. All bars reserve the right to refuse sale of alcohol.

Reigate Events Pride Festival Performance Community

The Lineup

Spectate our Pride Parade by lining the streets through Reigate town at 11am which heads down to the Priory Park event opening at 12noon.
Those marching in the parade will have to be pre-registered and will be provided a wrist band allowing access into Priory Park through a special entrance as the parade disperses there.
Pride in Surrey 2023 will include our usual ‘Main Stage’ and this year provide a bigger ‘Community Stage’ hosted by Trans Radio UK.

As a not for profit CIC (Community Interest Company), we listen closely to the needs of our intersectional community and offer many of our services 365 days a year whilst remaining mindful of the evolving needs of those who may need us and the ever-changing influential factors of the world's stance on LGBTQ+ human rights.

As volunteer led organisation we instil our values at every opportunity. These are to Celebrate, Educate and Connect the LGBTQ+ Community and its allies whilst ensuring we continue to stand together as one community recognising the importance of positive equity surrounding intersectionality.

Age restriction: A think 25 policy will be in operation on the sale of alcohol / age rated products and/or services.

No hate or exclusionary behaviour will be tolerated at any time.
Young Children are advised to be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times

Security, First Aiders & Event Volunteers are in place for your Comfort and Safety. If you have any concerns or queries during your visit please seek support from a team member.
Marching in the parade requires pre-registration to be issued a parade wristband. The wristband allows access to the park through a special entrance where parade disperses
Pride in Surrey are operating a family friendly event - please be mindful of this at all times.
Train Services TO and FROM Reigate and surrounding stations will be on an amended timetable and/or covered by bus replacement services due to planned engineering works on Saturday 9th September.
BAG CHECKS WILL BE IN OPERATION THROUGHOUT THE EVENT
Only sealed bottles of water OR empty bottles (which you can refill) will be permitted into Priory Park.
Want to have a picnic? You cannot bring food and drink into the secured event zone. We'd recommend having your picnics on the hill before you enter the event area..
