Join Love Club and some pals at Doña in Stoke Newington for a night of life-drawing with live music and a little extra spice. The event will take place from 7-10pm with doors at 6.30pm!
The extra spice is that you, too, could have a go at being the glorious body that we all draw! We will have a life model throughout and to get started, but later we shake it up, and give any one who fancies it a chance to pose either clothed or nude, for a short pose! Note- this is totally optional!
The life-drawing will be fun and accessible, led by Polly (she/her) from Love Club. Absolutely no skills will be required here and we will play some quick drawing games to get in our flow and take us out of the thinking brain and into the creative brain. There will be plenty of breaks. The event will be split into three 45 minute sections:
- The warm up act- get into your creative brain with some quick poses and fun exercises
- The vibes- longer hold poses with live music
- DIY- have a go at being the model (if you would like to only!) clothed or nude with a variety of pose lengths
We've got guitar and vocals provided by our friends at State is Flow, which we are super excited about!
Doña will serve up the best margs in town and tacos if you wish to purchase, and we will serve up the fun arty vibes. All materials provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have materials you like to use. See you at Doña's pink heaven on the 29th March!
Any questions or accessibility needs please let us know at polly@love-club.org. A note- Doña is a basement venue so access is down a flight of stairs.
Everyone is welcome, but respect and support are key, so please continue to spread the love throughout.
10% of your ticket price will be donated to the Yoga Mandala Project. YMP offer trauma-informed yoga and other wellbeing practices with refugee communities internationally.
