SheHerTheyThem - East London’s favourite Community-building Social initiative for Queer Women, Trans, Intersex, Nonbinary and Gender NonConforming individuals - is back for 2023 with our new monthly Socials! Our regular events, held at our favourite Newham venue Tracks, are designed to help you find and connect with others in our community in a fun, friendly and safe environment.
Join us on Thursday 6 April at Tracks Bar in Forest Gate for our first SheHerTheyThem Community Open Mic Night! Hosted by the iconic King Frankie Sinatra, we invite you to enjoy hours of entertainment as we get together to share in the talent, passion and skills our community has to offer in a safe and inclusive atmosphere!
Whether you're a veteran of the performing arts trying out some new material or stepping into a new creative foray, stepping up to the mic or supporting our performers, the evening is going to be a wild ride of queer creative inspiration.
The evening is open to writers, performance artists, comedians, singer-songwriters, musicians, drag acts, magic acts, spoken word artists, cabaret queers and anything in between, and all those who want to see the magic happen.
Expect all the usual SheHerTheyThem Community Building extras, including Personals, mini-zines, games, information and advice, music, good vibes, and of course some great food and drinks from our allies at Tracks.
SOLOS TABLE
As always, we'll have a space dedicated to those of you flying solo who are looking to meet and make connections within our community. Look for the pansexual flag and find your place!
PAY WHAT YOU CAN
As with all our events, we are operating a Pay What You Can policy. All donations we receive go back into organising and supporting the SheHerTheyThem events, community and causes.
Not sure what to pay? We suggest a sliding scale depending on your situation and financial circumstances.
Unwaged / Low Income: For those who stress about being able to meet their basic needs, our suggested donation is £1-3.50.
General: For those comfortably able to meet their basic needs, our suggested donation is £5-10.
Pay It Forward: For those comfortably able to meet their basic needs and wanting to use some of their disposable income to help others in the community, we suggest a donation of £15+.
NO TERFS, NO SWERFS, NO CIS MEN
Our mission continues to decentre cis male energy from our Queer community and build a platform for the marginalised and minoritised LGBTQ+ voices in a space that supports and encourages collaboration and connection. Our entry code is simple - no TERFS, no SWERFS and no Cis Men allowed in the space*. Cis Men are welcome to support our community by donating to our causes, educating themselves on why we need events such as this, and respectfully allowing us our space. Cis-het women are welcome to join as allies to our events, but please be respectful that this space is for the queer community.
*Please note that some members of Tracks' staff are cis men who will be present, but be assured they understand and support our policy and event.
