A Press of Suspects {presents} have teamed up with Reclaim the Sea are thrilled to announce a Comedy Event at the recently re-opened Steel Brew, Royal William Yard, with ALL profit going to support Reclaim the Sea.
It is an honour to be able to support this incredible Plymouth based non profit. Reclaim the Sea runs programs that provide people with the tools to reclaim the sea as a safe space, when it has previously been one of trauma, through swimming, surfing, and paddleboarding lessons.
Performing on the night will be:
Suzy Bennet: A born and bred Plymouthian! Former Butlins Redcoat and proud Devonian Suzy ‘accidentally’ won an award on her 6th gig and has kept the laughs, and her accent, going strong ever since, performing around the UK as well as overseas. She is the voice of the ‘Plymouth Trails’ Tour app and was recently named as one of the ‘50 Coolest people from Plymouth’ by the Evening Herald (It was in no particular order so she assumes she came third after Dawn French and Wayne Sleep).
Willtordian Ballorian Edwardian: A comic who has been wowing audiences with his unique brand of comedy. A man with a penchant for owls and a celebration of the absurd silliness of life! He talks frankly about his experience as a father and uses music, loops and FX to create a bonkers experience.
Sarita Hunt: A proper Cornish maid, her comedy is based on her intriguing journey of a life filled with extreme highs and lows. She will show you the lighter side of some dark life experiences, exposing the fascinating world of being a transgender woman in a small town.
Krishna Hurry: A newcomer to the world of stand up, with only a few gigs under his belt Krishna is already picking up slots over the South West, a charming and engaging personality shines through this delightful chap!
Cristina Varga: Another newer comedian who is making waves here in Plymouth. A natural and gifted performer who will take you on some lovely aural journeys! Currently performing her one woman show at Plymouth Theatre Royal. One to watch…
