Since 2019 Shelly Grotto has been living in deep cover as a drag queen in her search to uncover how and why the modest seaside town of Margate has recently become such a hotbed for the art form, and if it’s always been this way? Shelly will be disclosing key evidence and breakthrough discoveries from the case which charts the Margate Drag Scene from the Victorian era right through to the present day.
