Kia Matanky-Beckeris a Queer Poet, Performance artist, sculptor and co-parent of Queer Noise.
Kia's Lyrical poetry is an unapologetic exploration of queer relationships, friendship and community. They are particularly interested in queer coming of age narratives and their beautifully messy complexities. An over-sharer and attention seeker, get ready for tales of lesbian drama, late nights and the people they fell in love with on the bus this morning. kia just wants you to laugh at them, that's it really.
Kia has performed at poetry nights across the country, their performance films are archived internationally, and they were awarded the Poetry Society collaboration prize 2021.
Lalah-Simone Springer
Lalah-Simone Springer is a poet and speculative fiction writer from Dagenham. (she/they). Lalah’s first poetry collection, An Aviary of Common Birds will be published by Broken Sleep Books in August 2023 . In 2022, they released the first single from their upcoming collaborative spoken word album, Cyclical Music. Lalah was long-listed for the Merky New Writers Prize in 2021 and has been published on the ANTHEMS podcast, Ink, Sweat & Tears, Onyx Magazine and more. Previous collaborations as a performance artist have been staged at The Barbican, Whitechapel Gallery, Folkstone Fringe and Almanac Project Space.
Grace Quigley
Grace Quigley is a queer, neurodivergent poet, performer, theatre maker and co-parent of queer noise. From Croydon, now based in gay old East London.
Grace’s work explores dyke queerness, community, London living, mental health and knowing absolutely nothing about anything. She uses character to understand the unhinged hinges of society.
Her recent Offie nominated show ‘BLUEWATER’ received 5 stars in both Edinburgh and London, one for each deal she has made with the Devil.
Thea Mayeux
Thea trained in Acting at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She has since acted in both professional theatre and TV as well as fringe productions. Thea is also a director and most recently assistant directed ‘Bluewater’ by Grace Quigley and ‘The Effect’ at Royal Welsh. She is passionate about creating work that supports her community of fellow artists and shines light and joy in our often bleak world.
Eden J Howells
Eden J Howells is a London based queer creative. A multi-instrumentalist, writer, and self-acclaimed wordsmith, they thrive in their exploration of love and the mind. Having released several singles and demo projects, Eden is currently developing their prose work and crafting their debut EP for release on all major streaming platforms in the 2023.
Maria Rosenberg
Maria Rosenberg is a singer songwriter based in London. Her music is a blend of modern and old, blues and trip hop sadness with attitude. Dreamy smokiness with badass poetic fantasy where love stories meet childhood trauma, where David Lynch meets yo momma. She recently finished an EP “Say My Name” with Stuart Matthewman, an English Grammy award winning record producer most knows as a founding member of the band Sade. The debut will be released this year.
She hosts queer nights “Filthy&Gorgeous” with a musician and drag performer Tahini Molasses (Harem of No One), a night of live music and drag performances.
