Celebrate the release of Venn Smyth's album ‘Master of Disguise’ at this one-off live music event at The Glory, East London.
Unashamedly pop, queer artist Venn Smyth writes music that dances around stories of identity and belonging. A classically trained saxophonist, he is now sharing pop music to make you move and think in equal measure. His songs have reached No. 1 on the LGBTQ Music Chart and he was a semifinalist in this year's Pride's Got Talent competition.
"Reminded me of short bus, Rufus Wainwright, Jake Shears. Very downtown NYC queer feel about it" Jonny Woo
"Real hints of Elton John... such a powerful voice" Track by Track Podcast
With every track from the album showcased, Venn Smyth returns to where his pop music journey began - recognise that red corridor? Expect sax, synths, storytelling and queer pop with finesse!
PLUS guest appearances from:
Damien Jones - honest pop from the London-based but Melbourne-native singer-songwriter
Tobre - on the sound but popping out for a number, he's the host, producer, musician you have to see
MANNY - performer, writer, actor and poet from London, providing some spoken word magic to the proceedings
