Join us on the first weekend of June for a night of music with two of Thanet’s most exciting psychedelic electronic acts.
Liotia are a critically-acclaimed two-piece group who make music with equal shades of triphop and postruck. Abigail Hubbard‘s haunting voice and understated guitar, create a focal point amid immersive soundscapes created with collaborator Matthew Smyth. Their latest EP “Let Down” includes bass contributions from Doug Wimbish & Skip Mcdonald, drums by Josh Magill and Cello by Ivan Hussey.
Tony and the Abominations is the recording moniker of Tony Westcliff, who has recently taken the local open mic, cabaret and spoken word scene by storm. T.A.T.A’s music blends absurdism with serious biography, covering matters of intimacy, mental health and dinosaurs. Expect rambling anecdotes, melty rnb sounds and a voice reminiscent of Robert Smith singing Prince in the shower.
This event is free entry, but we ask attendees to give what they can to the host’s fundraiser for a new venue.
