Who are we?
We are Bender Defenders (Caroline and Luca) and this is our circuit training.
This is a playful and very sweaty environment where queer and trans people come to train, make friends, have fun and explore their own strength. If you like the sound of that, then come around for a Queer & Trans circuit training class in Hackney Wick!!!
What is a Circuit Training workout ?!?
I'm so glad you ask! Circuit training is a workout that involves rotating through different exercises that target different parts of your body. It aims to build strenght and muscular endurance. Our circuit trainings are specifically designed around needs of boxers and kickboxers. It's going to be a real burner.
Here is how it goes:
- we are going to have stations! Some will have weights some you’ll do with your body weight and some will have boxing bags.
- we’ll alternate between 60s of activity and 30s rest. Actions will involve the followings: pull, push, lift, punch, slam and HOOOOLD!
You have all that it takes to join, no experience needed! Most importantly: go at your own pace.
Bring water and wear comfy clothes.

This gym has big wall mirrors in the workout area.
Changing room and one shower available.
There are two flats of stairs to get to the studio. No lifts available.
This is the plan:
- Please arrive on time. You might not be allowed to join if you arrive more than 10mins late.
- Start on time with a warmup.
- Before we go for it, we will go over techniques of exercises
- Workout
- Stretching
- Social (optional)

DIRECTIONS FROM HACKNEY WICK STATION:
Coming out of Hackney Wick station, turn right, there is a coffee shop and if you look up there is a giant yellow wall saying “HW Personal Training”. Luca and Caroline will be downstairs for a bit, if you miss them just ring the bell to come in (it says HWPT on it).
