3.7.18 - "Dan Glass presents redfish's grassroots report: ‘Death by a Thousand Cuts: The Great NHS Sell-Off’
Film Preview, discussion panel and performance to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the NHS.
Britain's National Health Service, widely regarded as one of the finest public healthcare systems in the world, is under attack. The Conservative government has driven the NHS to the edge of ruin through chronic underfunding and repeated spending cuts. This is all part of a broader privatisation agenda designed to undermine public faith in state institutions, so they can be replaced with private sector alternatives.
To mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the NHS, healthcare activist Dan Glass teamed up with redfish to present a grassroots report on how tax-shy profiteers are trying to seize control of public healthcare services and what we can do to stop them."
Join us at the Redfish film premier of 'Death by a Thousand Cuts - The NHS Sell-Off’ alongside key healthcare activists and performers to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the NHS and 'Docs not Cops' 'Patients Not Passports' campaign*.
Health Minister Jeremy Hunt famously hid behind a tree to avoid journalists seeing him go to dinner with turbo-capitalist tyrant James Murdoch. Well there's no hiding anymore Jeremy. It's the National Health Service's -NHS- 70th birthday and we are here to AGITATE AND CELEBRATE!
