🦋 Wild Queers : Creating with Nature 🌿
Explore the wilds of Croydon and the work of queer nature poets and artists in a queer-affirming environment; at a new series of 4 creative nature workshops led by writer & workshop facilitator LiLi K. Bright and artist & writer Daniel Baker-Wells.
During two of the sessions (26th August / 22nd October) we will be exploring Hutchinson's Bank; a secluded chalk grassland and ancient woodland in Croydon, supporting many rare plants and insects. It is a beautiful wilderness, full of natural wonder to explore. Hutchinson's Bank is also an area of specific interest for LiLi as they are exploring Painted Lady butterflies as a metaphor for their ancestors across Freetown, Accra & London.
The other two sessions (16th September / 18th November) will take place ONLINE (on Zoom) and will involve nature-inspired creative activities and explorations of the work of queer nature poets and artists. 🍁
You can book and join individual sessions, or the whole series.
Pay What You Can- suggested £3-6 per session or £9-12 for three remaining sessions.
PLEASE NOTE: ALTHOUGH THE BOOKING OPTION FOR 3 REMAINING SESSIONS IS DATED AS 15th SEPTEMBER: THE FIRST SESSION IS 16th SEPTEMBER
