Hello, we’re Bakita, Phil & Vimbai! Working with Queen Mary, University London as part of the Partnership for Black People’s Health project, an involvement project to engage Black African communities and Black Caribbean communities in research to reduce the widely recognised disproportionate burden of health inequalities that we suffer in all areas of medicine and public health.
We're looking for Black, peer or community researchers who have been employed on a research project in the last two years to take part in a 2-hour workshop to understand experiences of working on research projects. 'For anyone aged 16 years and above.
If you've been a researcher because of your personal experience of the research topic, as well as your research skills, then this applies to you too! If you’re interested in taking part, please sign up even if your job title isn’t ‘peer researcher’ or ‘community researcher’. We're particularly interested in those who have worked as peer/community researchers in areas focused on health, well-being, equality or equity.
Everyone who joins will get a £25 gift voucher per hour as a thank-you for your time and participation. This can be paid as online vouchers or physical vouchers. You can also receive £10 towards travel costs as long as you keep the receipts. Refreshments will be provided.
