ANARCHO QUEER NIGHT OF ART POP, HIP HOP and BREAKBEAT
A night of weirdo art pop, hip hop, and breakbeat featuring queer trans performers. Elley Phunk, Pavlov's House (featuring Bobby QELD), Floralis & Aoife Baxendale invite you to drink, dance and cry to fundraise for Bristol Solidarity Federation; an anarcho-syndicalist union fighting for better conditions for workers and tenants and working towards a classless, stateless society.
Elley Phunk - 20:30-21:00:
DJ Elley Phunk has 28 years of experience behind the turntables. She's been involved in the dance scene since the early 90’s. She was originally a vinyl DJ and started mixing in 1995, where she swiftly became a well known house and breakbeat DJ around the Southwest. You can often catch Elley supporting her local antifascist bands in The Plough Easton, where she has a residency.
Pavlov's House - 21:15-21:45:
Revolutionary rap with a Bristol accent, antifascist beats to keep the picket line bopping, bars grounded in history & struggle with the occasional pro-wrestling reference. HARD. Bobbi QELD: bars, Charlie el Poeta: beats.
Floralis and Aoife Baxendale - 22:00-22:30:
Floralis is a queer-anarchist art pop artist that fuses Kate Bush inspired art pop with elements of gothic rock and hip hop to deliver her anti-capitalist message. Her debut album deals with being a trans POC in a colonial world. She will be accompanied by Aoife Baxendale, who does psychedelic, dreamy, live generated visuals.
