ANARCHO QUEER NIGHT OF ART POP, HIP HOP AND DRAG!
A night of weirdo art pop, political drag, and hip hop featuring queer trans performers. Workstuff, Pretentious Dross and Floralis & Aoife Baxendale invite you to drink, dance and cry to fundraise for Liverpool's Solidarity Federation; an anarcho-syndicalist union fighting for better conditions for workers and tenants and working towards a classless, stateless society.
Workstuff - 20:00-20:30:
Through their abstract lyricism and innovative sounds, Workstuff resonates with the listener, creating an enduring connection that extends beyond the mere act of listening. In its totality, it is a breathtaking, mesmerizing journey that leaves a deep impact long after the last note has faded. As psychedelic as it is eerie, Workstuff is not one to miss.
Pretentious Dross - 20:45-21:15:
Pretentious Dross is Liverpool’s Art House Witch: an avant-drag artist working in performance, visual art, film and music - she mutates across form and media like a virus. She collaborates with Vice Mõth, a two piece outfit based in Liverpool who treat music like a game of chess, where neither know the rules of the game.
Floralis and Aoife Baxendale - 21:30-22:00:
Floralis is a queer-anarchist art pop artist that fuses Kate Bush inspired art pop with elements of gothic rock and hip hop to deliver her anti-capitalist message. Her debut album deals with being a trans POC in a colonial world. She will be accompanied by Aoife Baxendale, who does psychedelic, dreamy, live generated visuals.
