London-based pop musician Venn Smyth (or Steven Smith to those who might recognise him from Fintry days!) is back in the village for a night of music - and he can't wait! Joining him will be the fantastic folk stylings of Fran and Matt Hall. They all played together in the summer at Fintry Community Hub, where the sun shone and the crowd loved the afternoon of music on the green!
Currently touring his new album 'Master of Disguise', expect a night of original pop music with saxophone, synths, ballads and bops, and a few well-loved covers thrown in! This year has seen Venn reach the semifinals of London's Pride's Got Talent and finals of Brighton's Voice of Broadway music competitions, as well as performing at the Green Man music festival in Wales.
“Real hints of Elton John… such a powerful voice” Track by Track podcast
“A superb songwriter” Miles Elliot, judge of Voice of Broadway and Pride’s Got Talent
“(Burn Me) Reminiscent of the songs Justin Vivian Bond would sing. Reminded me of Short Bus, Rufus Wainwright, Jake Shears" Jonny Woo
“(Sunrise) A gorgeous contemporary dancefloor anthem tackling the hard-hitting theme of grief, whilst retaining an optimistic mood through its shimmering production” Culture Fix blog
Doors open at 7pm, music from 7.30pm with an interval. Teas, coffees and soft drinks for sale or BYOB! Cafe style seating - bring a crowd for a fun Friday night!
