Ordinary Stories is a community event for members of the LGBTQ+ community, to share stories and experiences in a relaxed, casual and conversational setting. For Black History Month, we are hosting a qtipoc, diasporas special where we will be platforming only the stories of POC (or those from the Global Majority). Allies will be welcome in the space as audience members and guests.
****please make sure to note the new venue! Salt the Radish is a lovely café in Finsbury Park, North London.****
This month’s theme is BELONGING. You could share something about:::
Feeling rooted, feeling seen, feeling heard, feeling held. Displacement, movement, stolen artefacts, colonialism and post-colonialism. Imposter syndrome, not belonging, feeling de-rooted, new spaces, hostile spaces. Families, chosen families, finding and creating community, finding and creating utopia. Third culture kid experiences, immigrant experiences, first, second and third generation experiences. feeling home, having multiple homes, what home means to you, safe spaces…
Whatever comes to your mind when you think of BELONGING
Ordinary Stories is open to all members of the LGBTQ+ community and we welcome allies as audience members only.

Venue Information
Salt the Radish will have drinks and a small selection of snacks available to buy, we are also happy for visitors to bring food in during the event
There is a single step into the café and a ramp available to use
Unfortunately, space is limited within the café and, while there are no steps to the toilets, it is quite a small room and can just about fit a small wheelchair inside.
There is free parking on Blackstock Road, Monsell Road and Finsbury Park Road. The closest tube station is Finsbury Park (Victoria and Piccadilly Lines, Northern City and Thameslink) and nearest overground is Crouch Hill, which is a 16 minute walk/13 minute bus ride to Salt the Radish
You can message us on instagram @_ordinarystories if you'd like any more info
