In this new performance cum concert-in-progress, your pal La JohnJoseph asks a series of questions about sadness, in an intimate concert format house deep underground in the historical Brunel SHAFT, ne of London's hidden architectural gems.

La Jj presents a selection of suitably sorrowful songs mined from the popular repertoire, and asks if sadness isn’t in fact the thing that binds us all together. Be Melancholy, and celebrate. Expect to hear songs by Madonna, Judy Garland and Kylie, reworked in La Jj's own inimitable stylings.

Commissioned by And What? Queer. Arts. Festival. Just La JJ, a mini-grand piano and YOU, the wonderful audience.

La JJ returns to London after performing their 4 & 5* reviewed A Generous Lover at Edinburgh Fringe.
