This in-person event is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the art of coffee making, specifically tailored to be inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community.
Our Barista 1-0-1 Workshop is perfect for coffee enthusiasts of all levels, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to enhance your existing skills. Led by experienced industry professionals, this workshop aims to empower and equip participants with the knowledge and confidence to either go out and enjoy coffee as an hobby or pursue coffee-related employment opportunities .
Throughout the workshop, you'll discover the secrets behind brewing the perfect cup of coffee, explore various brewing methods, and delve into the world of latte art. You'll even get to try different kinds of coffee to explore how roasting & extraction can impact on the taste of a coffee. From understanding different coffee beans and their flavor profiles to mastering the techniques required to create beautiful patterns on your cappuccinos, this workshop covers it all.

Who We Are
Blossom LGBT CIC is a national non profit with a mission to empower LGBTQIA+ young adults to thrive in their social and professional lives. We focus our work towards 16 to 30 year olds providing with them the skills they need to suceed. We also support the loved ones & employers of LGBTQIA+ people.
Blossom In The Workplace
This workshop fulls under our employability and upskillng scheme which is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund. The scheme sets out to address the disproprionate gaps in LGBTQIA+ people accessing work. We do this by providing one to one mentoring, employability classes, upskilling workshops, internships, and by addressing systematic barriers with employers. The National Lottery Community Fund distributes over £600m a year to communities across the UK, raised by players of The National Lottery. Blossom LGBT CIC has recieved just over £181,000 to use between October 2023 & October 2025 on our work empowering LGBTQIA+ young adults at work.
