Join us for Home Studio’s first session here at QUEERCIRCLE with the honorary photographer Ajamu X. Queer Visions and the Pleasures of Process will allow visitors to gain insight into the intentional practice of manifesting a sustainable artistic career. Artists will also have the opportunity to discuss their own practice, dreams and goals with Ajamu as well as complete a template (framework) for realising the vision that they will set forth designed by the artist himself.
Home Studio is a ubiquitous space dedicated to the empowerment, promotion and development of queer and trans artists of colour.
Ajamu X [Hon FRPS]is a fine art studio based / darkroom led photographic artist and scholar. His work has been shown in Museums, galleries and alternative spaces worldwide.
Ajamu 's practice celebrates the materiality of the black queer body, the erotic sense, joy, intimacies and pleasure as activism.
In 2022, Ajamu was canonised by The Trans Pennine Travelling Sisters as the Patron Saint of Darkrooms and received an honorary fellowship from the Royal Photographic Society. Work appears in private and public collections worldwide.

Home Studio is a ubiquitous space dedicated to the empowerment, promotion and development of queer and trans artists of colour. We host workshops, CRIT's, making sessions, photo walks and other amazing events at least once a month. In its simplest form, we are a group of artists meeting and working together to accomplish our own personal and collective goals. Home Studio was founded and curated by Ariel Collier, artist and Programmes Assistant at QUEERCIRCLE.
