7th July / WEEK 1 - All about Burlesque & Cabaret
We’ll explore the vibrant world of cabaret and burlesque. Learn what these art forms are all about and how to create your unique cabaret persona.
We'll help you craft a stage name that truly represents you through fun games and name generators.
Discover the energy you want to bring to your performances, and avoid clichés by understanding the basics.
We'll brainstorm act ideas, discuss the types of acts you can create, and ensure your act is original and respectful of cultural boundaries.
We’ll cover the importance of trigger warnings and the narrative behind your striptease. Finally, you'll learn a basic burlesque routine to kickstart your journey. Get ready to unleash your inner performer!
14th July / WEEK 2 - Costumes, Gloves & Stocking Peels
In Week 2 we dive into costumes, gloves, and stocking peels. We’ll start by discussing last week’s homework: What’s your name and persona? Then, learn how to tell your storyline through costume, including essential care and how-tos. Next, master the art of gloves and stocking peels, and bring it all together in a routine that showcases your newfound skills.
21st July / WEEK 3 - Stillness, Audience Work & Tassel Twirling
In Week 3 , it's all about tassels, stillness, and engaging the audience. Discover the different types of tassels—spinning, non-spinning, pasties—and learn where to buy or how to make them. We’ll practice the art of stillness and effective audience work, then combine these skills in a routine featuring tassel twirling and stillness.
28th July / WEEK 4 - Floorwork
In Week 4 we’ll focus on the art of Floorwork. Learn graceful and sultry movements to enhance your routines, explore transitions, and master techniques to move seamlessly across the floor. By the end of the class, you'll combine these new skills into a captivating floorwork routine.
4th August / WEEK 5 - Let's see your first draft!
In Week 5 it's time to showcase your acts! Present your performance to the group and receive constructive feedback to refine your routine. This supportive session is designed to help you polish your act and build confidence for your final performance
11th August / WEEK 6 - Final Draft & Class Outing
In Week 6 we'll view your final draft performances, offering last-minute tips and encouragement. After celebrating everyone's hard work, we'll wrap up with a fun class outing.

In Week 7 it's showcase time! Invite your friends and loved ones to watch you shine on stage. This is your moment to perform your polished act and celebrate your journey with a supportive audience. Get ready to dazzle and delight
