BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! is pleased to invite you to a conversation with ceramist William Martin
Join us for BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! MEETS: William Martin
at our BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! GALLERY
on Wednesday 4 December from 7 to 8pm
Will Martin’s ceramic journey began at age 8, taking weekend classes near his local library. After High School he went on to study Art History, Anthropology and English at the University of Cape Town. Having exhibited nationally and internationally at 21, he moved to the UK for a Masters in Contemporary Art History at Christies’ Education. Over the past decade in London he has been teaching, exhibiting and cooking, often platforming other artists and institutions. Martin enjoys making immersive environments - the artworks, the food and the crockery - resulting in a cohesive space and memorable encounters.
As a freelance pottery teacher, Martin has worked at Turning Earth, The Kiln Rooms, Muni and Studio Pottery London, and Studio Pansa in Amsterdam. He also gives an annual contextual studies lecture at the Victoria and Albert Museum for the Kings Foundation Diploma Year. He currently teaches and makes his works at Urban Potters in Camberwell.

The BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Gallery Café is a new cultural hub to promote queer and gay fine art photography.
It is part of the BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! programme by The Little Black Gallery which now represents more than than 78 photographers from 33 countries - including China, India, Iran, Kenya, Poland and Russia where gay rights are repressed and queer lives under constant threat.
BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Meets is an intimate event, hosted by Jorge Gárriz, with an audience of only 20 people, where we invite leaders and artists from the queer and gay community to talk about their careers and share their stories.
