‘F*ck Off This Is My Culture’ is - is back by public demand and for the first time ever, we're hosting the ‘This is My Culture - Last Christmas Special!’

Merry Christmas George - for eight years since you left the building on Christmas Day 2016 - we have celebrated you and everyone building a world of sexual freedom deep in the woods every Summer. This December, we're bringing your magic back, to continue building love, life and liberty for our powerful queer community.

FUNDRAISING

On the night we will raise money for ‘This is My Culture 9’ to take place on June 14th 2025 in a TOP SECRET LOCATION :)

TICKET PRICES

£5 solidarity, £10 waged, £20 if you can! We also have an ‘early bird’ or ‘late entry’ option if you would like to come for specific parts of the night. Please also consider a ‘paying it forward’ ticket for someone without cash who would appreciate it - just buy them a ticket from the options. Also everyone is welcome to DONATE more to the movement here.

We have a multi-purpose hall, exhibition, breakaway, screening, cruising and chill spaces to fill that are perfect for your queer movement to share your sexy, creative queer magic and joy with the wider community. 8-8.30pm - Opening ceremony

Lighting of the Chanukah peace candles and prayers for Palestine jointly led by Hasan Kilani (Queers for Palestine) and dan glass (This is My Culture) followed by speeches from titans in our movement who continue George's legacy of anti-war, labour rights and unapologetic queer fabulousness.

Speakers

Hasan Kilani - Queers for Palestine - Hasan is a Palestinian Queer Feminist activist and writer. Based in London. Studied MA in Transnational Queer Feminist Politics at SOAS University of London. Worked in the past 12 years in the inclusion of LGBTQ+ refugees in the humanitarian sector in the SWANA region. @hasanofammam
Jumana is a human rights activist from Sudan, committed to amplifying voices that challenge and disrupt inequalities. With years of experience working alongside women’s groups in Sudan, she has been advocating for gender justice.As a transformative facilitator, Jumana has dedicated herself to guiding women and girls through workshops and initiatives that inspire them to reimagine power, equality, and freedom, building a future grounded in justice and collective liberation.
Dan Glass is an ‘Aids Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP) healthcare and human rights activist, educator, performer and film presenter. Dedicating his life to transformational leadership influenced by his Grandparents stories surviving the Nazi Holocaust, Dan is now on the international committee of Training for Transformation, the Beautiful Trouble art-ivist network and an artist with ‘In Place of War’, catalysing empowerment programmes in Uganda, Poland and beyond alright@theglassishalffull.co.uk / @danglassmincer

10.30pm - Decorating our ‘Christmas Queer Ancestral Tree’

We invite everyone to bring an item that they would like to decorate our ‘Christmas Queer Ancestral Tree’ with pictures, postcards and symbols to those you loved, no longer with us.

11 - 5am - DJ'sOur resident ‘This is My Culture’ DJ’s MICKY XOV, Knayohmi, Mica Coca, Public Toilet Disco, Jake Reed, Stav B and more are BACK with Christmas sizzlers!

ABOUT ‘THIS IS MY CULTURE’

The ‘F*ck off This is My Culture’ party began as a response to grieve and to honour the legend that was George Michael - his music and all he stood for - that is unapologetic sexual freedom!

The party is named after the moment George was taking a late-night stroll on Hampstead Heath when he was ambushed by a photographer from the News of the World and responded with “Are you gay? No? Then fuck off! This is my culture!” Just one example of how George Michael helped millions to re-evaluate and transform how they saw and embraced sexuality. It has since grown into an iconic and huge annual queer freedom protest. There is a musical and political theme to each ‘This Is My Culture’ protest party to curate and cultivate queer creativity and joy as a revolutionary act.
