Let's Play is a movement class focusing on community-building, care and exploring movement through props and dance/movement. Props are any object that you can dance/move with! To initiate movement with props we would use creative dance games that are open to interpretation to help initiate movement. It is mostly improvisation and nothing is right or wrong! The class will include check ins, warm ups, cool downs, choreography and improvisation tasks. Let's Play encourages you to find your way of moving and grooving while letting your inner child shine. There will be a designated area to OPT OUT of any activity, dance and participate at your own pace, this class is all about having fun through dance. No prior experience is required.
Let's Play is usually a Trans+ and or global majority space however, after some requests, Ashley has decided to open it up to anyone is identify as QUEER! Ashley is currently applying for funding for the Let's Play classes to run for Trans+ community for a year and needs to raise an amount to create a match the fund meaning they need 10% of the amount they are asking for. Tickets are on a sliding scale so it is still affordable, but if you can donate! The ticket sales will go towards the match fund and paying for the space.
