“We'll Go Down In History” tells the story of TRUK United, a grassroots, proudly trans football club. Filmed over two years, it captures the team on and off the pitch as they create a safe haven for their community in the face of rising transphobia.
Featuring at the BFI Flare film festival, “We'll Go Down In History” tells a heartwarming story of trans joy in a sport that rarely allows for it.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Lucy Clarke, Manager of TRUK United FC and the first openly trans football referee.
