In this workshop, we'll explore fanfic through an LGBTQIA+ lens; looking at the history of fandoms and fan creations, the cultural impact of fan-made queer representation, and fanfic's role in LGBTQIA+ self-expression & affirmation (and more). You'll have opportunities to learn, discuss, and have a go at writing your own stories (if you'd like to!)
Whether you're an avid author ✍️, a ravenous reader 📖, or just a fabulous fan of all things queer creativity 💭, come and explore queer storytelling in FANFICTASTIC - cause if mainstream media won't tell our stories, we'll write them ourselves!
