Canal Film Club - Age of the Queer Emperors
Canal film club invites you back this month for Sally Potter's adaptation of Virginia Woolf's 1928 novel ‘Orlando’, starring Tilda Swinton.
After Queen Elizabeth I commands them not to grow old, a young nobleperson struggles with love and their place in the world.
Time-travelling over 400 years, Swinton's Orlando defies gender throughout one of the earliest texts on genderqueerness in the 20th Century.

Social from 8pm, Film screening from 8:30, Live music and DJ’s 10pm-late

Accessibility
The Canal has ramp/elevator access via bridges from local stations & bus routes, however the pathways within the woods are uneven and can be muddy. Be prepared to walk 15 mins along the canal and woods to get to the location from the closest overground.
Seating during the film is on the floor - please notify us in advance if you will require a chair to be provided to attend the event (@canalfilmclub)

If we have to cancel the event due to weather / unforeseen circumstances, ticket contributions are non-returnable and we will endeavour to reschedule the event.

This is a non profit event and tickets are priced via suggested amounts to enable us to put on these events, pay for kit and pay our artists. There are free tickets too if you can't contribute right now!
