Introducing the first ever KVLL COLONISERS event: Floralis's album release show on 6th September.
There will be talks from direct action groups, live music, performers, a raffle to raise funds for Gatwick Detainee Support, and an all-out party for all you anti-imperialists.
Lineup:
5:30-6:00 - Limbslacker
With soaring violins, twin guitar harmonies, booming drums and painful lyricism, Limbslacker are a new queercore band that fuse sadcore with explosive crescendos to create a huge burst of emotions. Shakes you to the core, and screams in your face with assertion.
6:20 - 6:50 - Dust
Totally bizarre art pop made from one of the best musicians I've had the pleasure of hearing. Dust marries performance art with wild synth melodies, sounding somewhere between Lingua Ignota and Radiohead, except with better politics than any 1srael bootlicker.
7:10-7:40 - Antifa Supersoldier
When I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see… a union of workers fighting to overthrow the state????
Imagine if My Chemical Romance fused with At the Drive In, and dedicated their lives to overthrowing the state with a union of workers. Doesn't sound bad, right? Correct. Antifa Supersoldier have soaring choruses and a militant aggression, being at the forefront of The Red Parade.
8:00-8:30 - Smoked Poets
Violently political and anti-imperialist, this Kashmiri street poet utters thoughtful hip hop over dreamy, dissonant beats. You might have seen them perform at How to Catch a Pig, or screaming at the cops at your nearest antifascist assembly. Hailing from East London, you do not want to miss Smoked Poets if you've been lucky enough to see them live.
8:50-9:10 - Liv Wynter
This violently anarchist rapper, artist and community organiser started off as a battle rapper on Don't Flop, and has since made their name fusing hardcore punk with hip hop, organising projects such as: How to Catch a Pig, Bands Boycott Barclays, and Dance Mums. Fiercely harsh, Liv Wynter is wildly original and puts on a live show that is unmatched.
9:30-10:10 - Floralis ALBUM RELEASE GIG
Floralis fuses art pop with post-punk, hip hop and emo to deliver deeply anti-colonial, queer liberationist music. Self described as “Anarchist Art Pop”, this tr4nny discusses topics such as the hotel industrial complex, the rise of neo-fascism, and the persistent state of settler colonialism. Their upcoming album “Saboteur Club Anthems Vol. 1” is a fusion of UK garage, hip-house, post-punk, emo and synthwave with intense Bollywood samples. Stick around for the show of your life!
