We are so excited to announce the details of our residential trip.
Please read the following information and Ts and Cs:

Based on your feedback we have chosen to host our event at Thornbridge Outdoors in Bakewell in their Bell Tent Village and Base Camp and Woodlands accommodation.
We will offer an optional half day of outdoor activities - we expect to complete these on Saturday and hike on Sunday
Will organise optional return transport from central Manchester to the site at 6pm on the Friday.
People will be asked to complete a max 90 minute shift in the kitchen/on site to help prepare group meals and tidy up. On the ticket link tonight, there will be a google sheet to sign up for tasks. Please sign up for a task using the link below - it is first come first served and those who do not sign up will be randomly allocated a task.

There will be 72 tickets released for the event including organisers’ tickets.
Accommodation will be predominantly in 6 person bell tents that have flooring and a groundsheet.
There will be accessible indoor lodging for those who have specified that they require indoor accommodation.
8 people who have expressed preferences for bringing their own tents will be in the same field and may choose to cater or self cater like everyone else.
Accommodation will be assigned after tickets have been released and purchased.
We will have access to our own shower and toilet block.

4:00 drivers can arrive any time from here.

5:30 meet at pickup point in Manchester City Centre

5:45 leave for the site

7:15 arrive at the site

7:30 BBQ begins

9:30 Evening activity

Saturday

8:30 breakfast

9:30-12:30 morning outdoor activities/structured free time choices

12:30 lunch

1:30-4:30 afternoon outdoor activities/structured free time choices

7:00 dinner

9:00 Evening activity

Sunday

9:00 breakfast

10:00 site clean and pack up

11:00 leave for hike

4:30 return from hike

5:00 leave the site on the bus.

What You Need To Know

Age restriction: 18+

Terms & Conditions

Event is 18+ only.
Zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, or anti-social behaviour — organisers have final discretion.
Always ask for and use people’s preferred names and pronouns.
Consent is essential in all interactions.
Attend at your own risk — you are responsible for your own safety.
Bring suitable clothing, footwear, bedding, and any personal medication.
Self-catered attendees must bring food, storage, and eating utensils — no fridges, crockery, or cutlery are provided.
You are responsible for ensuring food hygiene and safety if bringing your own meals.
We are unpaid volunteers, not professional guides or event staff.
Dykes Who Hike Manchester is not liable for injuries, loss, or damage.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred between pricing bands.
Event will only go ahead if a minimum of 72 tickets are sold — otherwise, full refunds will be issued.
You are financially responsible for any damage you cause to the site, including accidental damage, graffiti, or vandalism.
Participants are responsible for being on time for the shared bus to and from the event.
