JONNY WOO presents
SUBURBIA
Edinburgh Fringe Festival fundraiser and preview
Following it's smash run at Soho Theatre in January, Jonny is taking his show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to Summerhall and is staging 2 previews at his venue The Divine, in preparation and to raise some much needed money for the Scottish adventure.
‘Suburbia’ is his most personal show to date and is a culmination of 20 years working in drag and cabaret. From his childhood in the Medway Towns, to clubs in the 90's and ecstasy, to sex clubs in NYC and to the present day; Jonny's tale is visceral, vibrant, honest and ultimately joyous. Blending drag, cabaret, spoken word and performance art - the show is a memoir, a journey and at times a full scale rave.
Suburbia received amazing reviews during it's Soho Theatre run and these two performances are a chance to see the show honed and ready before it's run in Edinburgh, in his own club which itself offers new possibilities to immerse yourself in the worlds he creates.
The show is written and performed by Jonny (including a piece written with his performance partner Brandon Olson from his time in NYC in 2001).
Jonny thanks Soho Theatre, Lee Griffiths, David Selley, Philly Mc Mahon, Sam Hoppen, Evan Jones and Fleur.

Jonny will offer complimentary tickets to carers if needed for people with disabilities who need assistance. Please message him directly.
