Join us to discover our new resource for passing on knowledge between generations of student antiracist activists at the University of Warwick.
Anyone who has been involved in student activism knows it is a challenge to build progressive movements over time when generations of students move on every few years. Often hard-won lessons are lost and there can be little chance to build institutional memory.
For the last few months, a team of current student antiracist activist researchers at Warwick have been designing and creating an archive that seeks to address this problem. We have interviewed current and former student antiracist activists from the University of Warwick to gather the knowledge and experience they want to pass on to future generations.
Extracts from these oral history interviews, and handy “how-to” zines we have designed, will be shared on a free to access website which we will launch on 20 June.
We invite you to join us to learn more about:
The Student Antiracist Activisms Archive project was funded by the University of Warwick Participatory Research Fund and led by Professor Hannah Jones with support from Anna Numa Hopkins and the research was conducted by six current student antiracist activist researchers (E, I, J, M, R & S).
