The afternoon will open with a panel featuring academic and affiliated staff from the Sarah Parker Remond Centre including Gargi Bhattacharyya and Luke de Noronha, who will reflect on the urgency and importance of studying race, ethnicity, and postcolonial studies today. This will be followed by a series of short presentations from MA and PhD students in the field, each offering insight into their developing work on topics including borders and migration, race and racialisation, knowledge production, cultural studies and more.
We’ll close the day with an after reception with food and drinks at 6:00 PM in the Common Ground, Institute of Advanced Studies, offering space for continued conversation and connection.
