Join us for the spellbinding launch of COVEN - a brand new queer club and arts venue, and the first of its kind in Hackney Wick. COVEN - Hackney Wick's first permanent queer club and arts venue - opens its doors with a euphoric night of live music, DJ sets, and unholy celebration. This is a prelude to the summer solstice: a ritual of light, sweat, and queer witchery to summon the season. Expect chaos, communion, and basslines that shake the altar. Come dance, hex, and howl. The spell begins here.
DJ Sets from:
Bestley:
Bestley is the lovechild of the glamour and grit of dancefloors past, channeling that raw energy, abandon and freedom vividly into the present moment. Celebrated for their blend of disco, house, soul, funk, rarities and classics Bestley has become London’s “go-to for sophisticated party disco” (Evening Standard). Whether they are: soundtracking album launches for the likes of Lady Gaga, Camila Cabello, or the Scissor Sisters, warming up fans at Roundhouse for Mika or crowds of 20.000 people for Jessie Ware at Alexandra Palace, setting the mood at fashion events for Perfect Magazine, Ashish, Jean Paul Gaultier or Jimmy Choo: playing for the darlings of the stage at the London Theatre Awards, Bestley always reads the room and creates the perfect mood. From high-energy sweaty super-clubs like Feel It or Glitterbox at HI Ibiza to luxury high-end venues such as Soho House and The Nomad, Bestley effortlessly sits between between the rugged underground and established refinement.
Zach Witness:
Zach Witness is a London-based, Dallas-born producer, DJ, and vocalist known for his genre-defying sound that blends house, funk, hip-hop, and queer futurism. He gained early recognition by producing Erykah Badu's mixtape But You Caint Use My Phone, recorded in his bedroom studio. His solo work includes the Sing The Dance Electric, Club Works series and the New Life EP, showcasing his evolution as a multifaceted artist. Notably, he produced Doechii's hit single "Alter Ego," a high-energy track that gained prominence after being featured in a lip-sync battle on RuPaul's Zach's performances are celebrated for their soulful, high-energy delivery, deeply rooted in dancefloor liberation and queer expression.
Sissy Fit:
Sissy Fit hit the scene at the inaugural HEATED: Unstable Hotties and has since cut their teeth at a smorgasbord of parties from East London to Glastonbury. Their sound fluctuates from one moment to the next often pairing old school UK garage, percussive house and a deep cut pop edit that will have you saying “what this is actually kinda fierce”.
