A Community Chevruta
Come and sit with justice, memory and community.
In this session, we’ll explore chevruta - a 1,000-year-old Jewish practice of learning in partnership. Rooted in dialogue, disagreement and shared discovery, chevruta invites us to think together rather than alone.
We’ll read a range of texts and reflections on the theme of justice - including memories of Jewish life in Govanhill - and explore what questions, tensions and insights arise in our conversation.
No prior experience is needed - just our willingness to listen, share and think together. Let’s discover how shared dialogue can open up new understandings of each other and the world around us.
